At iFX EXPO International 2026, we spoke with Ahmad Khalaf, Chief Operating Officer at GTCFX, about the development of international brokerage businesses, the requirements of modern trading infrastructure, and the role of MetaTrader 5 and Ultency in helping companies scale.
GTCFX operates across multiple jurisdictions and serves clients around the world. According to Ahmad, MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 have played an important role in the company's international expansion, providing a stable and high-performance technology platform with extensive integration capabilities.
A key focus of the interview is infrastructure performance. With Access Servers deployed around the world, the company has been able to provide clients with low-latency connections to its trading servers across the Far East, Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. The Ultency Matching Engine has also played an important role, helping accelerate trade execution and improve order processing.
Ahmad believes that one of the key advantages of the MetaTrader ecosystem is centralized control. Liquidity, trade execution, and other services can be managed through the familiar MetaTrader 5 Administrator and Manager terminals, without the need for separate systems or additional training for staff. Another advantage is the ability to integrate trading data with SQL, Kafka, and other data storage and analytics systems.
Looking ahead, Ahmad sees significant potential in artificial intelligence and would like to see these technologies applied more extensively to benefit both brokers and traders. He also believes that further development of copy trading services could open up promising opportunities for the industry.
